Absolutely loving every second of this production. The main characters are so perfectly cast. Its pace is fast moving with a superb contemporary music score to compliment the script. This is definitely a series to capture the imagination. Only two more weeks -oh no!!!! Lets have the Lake Poets next. The exploits of Coleridge, Southey and De Quincey would be an equally enthralling subject. Thanks for making Tuesday viewing so worthwhile.

Could somebody explain why I had to rely on iplayer (and I can’t be the only person that doesn’t want to watch a TV programme on their PC or laptop?) as I missed episode one and forgot to record it? With BBC3 & 4 now available, why can the BBC not see that it would be an ideal way of gaining a greater audience for programmes such as Desperate Romantics as people would appreciate a second chance to see programmes like this and hopefully want more? Yes I know BBC3 and 4 only start at 7.00pm and are not intended for this purpose but I say why aren’t they and why not start earlier? Every other channel gives you at least one more opportunity to see their main programmes but the good old BEEB doesn’t seem to think it is necessary. Think again Auntie. I loved every minute of it but I would have enjoyed it even more on my television rather than on my laptop.

Watched the first episode in utter disbelief…seems to have been written by someone with no interest in art whatsoever. Boring, unfunny and uninvolving.

Saw the first episode and I thought it was great… I love the Pre-Raphaelite brotherhood…I thought it was absolutely brilliant!!! Really love the guy playing Dante Gabrielle Rossetti MMmmmmm……Well done!!
